Design: Delugan Meissl Industrial Design
tendo is the name of the wooden chair that interconnects a lightweight construction with functionality in a well-balanced manner. It is designed by the Viennese architects Delugan Meissl Industrial Design. The filigree wooden construction blends into the supporting structure made of stainless steel and thus combines refined elegance with solidity. DELUGAN MEISSL INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
In the process of design, the internationally renowned architectural office Delugan Meissl Associated Architects always seeks to make the spatial experiences of the future user a subject of discussion and to orientate on existing structures. The design of the Festspielhaus Erl with its sharp-edged geometry is only one example. Other international projects are the EYE film institute in Amsterdam or the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. Cooperations with reputable manufacturers in 2012 gave rise for the establishment of the brand DMID, Delugan Meissl Industrial Design. The expansion of the task spectrum lead to the development of successful products apart from the original core competences.
In 2015, the architects Elke Delugan-Meissl and Roman Delugan were awarded with the Grand Austrian State Prize, the highest official Austrian award.
